Oasis Football Academy is a youth-focused sports and development organisation in Sierra Leone, committed to empowering disadvantaged boys through structured football training, education, and mentorship. We stand as a beacon of hope, discipline, and opportunity—transforming the lives of children and young people in Sierra Leone and beyond through the power of sport, education, and compassionate guidance.
Background & Rationale
Football remains one of the most powe1.rful tools for youth development in Sierra Leone. Beyond physical fitness, it fosters discipline, teamwork, resilience, confidence, and positive behaviour—attributes essential for young people navigating complex socio-economic challenges.
Yet, despite their talent, many youths lack access to international opportunities due to financial constraints, limited infrastructure, and inadequate organisational support. Oasis Football Academy seeks to bridge this gap by creating pathways for development and empowerment.

Our Mission
To nurture talent, instil discipline, and expand opportunities for disadvantaged young people through football, mentorship, and holistic development.
Key Objectives
1. To provide sports facilities, develop sustainable football academies, and organise leagues, training programmes, and supportive activities for children and young people across Sierra Leone—enhancing skills, fostering talent, and creating structured pathways for growth.
2. To establish and operate a community-based football club that collaborates with schools and educational institutions to promote physical and mental wellbeing, leadership, and teamwork.
3. To provide scholarships and financial support for talented children and young people, ensuring they receive the opportunities necessary for academic, athletic, and personal development.
4. To engage at-risk youth through structured football and sports activities, organise tournaments at local, regional, and national levels, and promote sport as a tool for social cohesion and community inclusion.
5. To support mental health initiatives through football and other sports programmes, helping reduce school dropout rates, drug use, social isolation, and other challenges affecting vulnerable youth. This includes collaboration with medical professionals for care and injury prevention.
6. To build the capacity of young people to contribute to nation-building, peace-building, and skills development initiatives—promoting entrepreneurship, employment, and long-term economic independence.
7. To establish and maintain training and development centres in both rural and urban areas to advance football and provide support in education, nutrition, and healthcare.
8. To create mentoring and coaching programmes that inspire children and young people to become confident, education-focused, and career-oriented, supporting their holistic development and personal growth
